LIFE SKILLS CENTER:
Benevolent Healthcare Advocates of Milwaukee is more than just an advocacy group. While our mission is to ensure that all people have access to quality health care we also strive to diversify the health care systems we utilize.

We believe that in order to be inclusive to all people, there must be a diverse group of employees who are reflective of the demographic they serve. Because oftentimes cultural and socioeconomic differences can lead to health care disparities and inequalities, diversity in health care is important. Diversity allows patients to build a rapport with health care providers that look like them, have similar backgrounds and shared experiences and who may also be more empathetic and understanding of their needs.
Sensing a need for qualified, entry-level healthcare workers, BHAM developed a clerical support training program for individuals interested in obtaining the skills needed for self-sustaining, livable wage positions in medical facilities and community based organizations. Trainings are available seven days a weeks with varying times throughout the day.
